5.2 Polls

You can add a poll question to your overview page by clicking “Create Poll”.

Fill in the poll question and answer options in the available spaces. You can add more answer choices by clicking on “More Choices”.

Once your poll is published, it cannot be edited. When ready, select “Publish” to make your poll live. You may also create Timeline milestone, which will add to your Timeline feature. Once you have created a Timeline milestone, Milestones can be edited and made visible on the timeline.

Who Can Participate

You can select who is able to participate in your poll question.

Anyone: Any registered PlaceSpeak user. 

Residents Only: Individuals who reside within the geographical boundaries of your map. 

Closing the Poll

Only one poll can be run at any given time. You must close your current poll to create a new one. 

You can see real-time poll results in the form of a bar graph with percentages, and visualize the distribution of results on a map. You can download your results after you have closed or replaced the poll question in the “Download Reports” section.
