4.3 Overview

Prior to participating, people want to know what your consultation is about. Be concise, but be thorough. The people reading this want to be informed.

Description

Use this section to share the context and background information about your consultation. You can format your text by selecting header styles, and by using the formatting tools provided. Videos, photos, links, and tables can also be embedded in your description. As you enter and format elements in the text box, they appear as they will on the overview page.

NEW - Click Save Description Button in bottom right to save your changes. Remember to do this before switching languages if engaging in bilingual engagement.

Please note: do not copy URLs when viewing in Preview Mode as they will not direct to your active page. Choose URL's from User View in an open tab or window.

Ensure that any text you are copying and pasting from a separate document has no formatting, as it will not transfer in the WYSIWYG editor. Use the Tx tool to remove legacy formatting.

To view your changes as you go, you can either toggle between the editing side and preview mode by clicking the “Preview” button at the top right of the page. Or you can open a tab in editing and another in user view and refresh to see changes as you go.

Include images, videos, and multimedia to make your consultation more compelling and easier to understand. When adding images or video use the tool provided in the Formatting Tool Bar. This will ensure that the element resizes for responsive use on different size screens.
